A massive tornado is forming off the coast of California, pulling in a variety of sharks that swirl through the air as the storm heads straight for Los Angeles. Surf bartender Fin (Ian Ziering) from Long Beach must watch as the storm, complete with torrential rain and ravenous great white sharks, threatens his existence. Together with his buddy Baz (Jaason Simmons), his girlfriend Nova (Cassie Scerbo), and the drinking George (John Heard) – all armed with chainsaws and shotguns – he sets out to rescue his ex-wife April (Tara Reid) and their children. However, the situation becomes dramatically dire: the agitated seawater floods the streets, and the group must navigate through the chaos while constantly being on guard for attacks from the flooded alleyways – as the sharks now come from everywhere.
