Flavor on the Fly

Flavor on the Fly

When it comes to the Northeast, Maine stands out as a unparalleled destination. With its rugged coastline, fresh seafood straight from the Atlantic, and charming small towns, there's no place quite like it. In this episode of Flavor on the Fly, Ranga digs deep into his Sri Lankan roots to come up with a seafood curry dish like none other. Inspired by time spent with good friends, fly fishing for both smallmouth and striped bass, and harvesting local shellfish, this tour through the Pine Tree State results in a one-of-a-kind dish that gives cooking with local ingredients a whole new meaning. Follow as we crack open the shell of one of the most intricate and diverse fisheries Ranga has ever explored.

With Montana in the rearview mirror the Flylords team crosses over into Idaho. In this leg of the trip they hit Blue-Ribbon trout waters with the folks from Henrys Fork Anglers and Silver Creek Outfitters. They also have a chance to sit down with the owners of these operations and hear what these shops and fly fishing mean to them. Before they hit the road to Utah the crew joins in on another conservation event at Payette Brewing Company.
