When a tornado hits a nuclear power plant and damages the cooling system, manager Corrine Maguire (Sharon Lawrence) and her staff try to avert a total meltdown. Meanwhile, her son, Campbell (Daniel Costello), has gone missing during the twister. Corrine asks her friend, policeman Jake Hannah (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), to locate Campbell and take him to safety.
