Min Ho and Jung Woo finally meet again in prison, but Jung Woo claims not to remember who Min Ho is. Chul Sik finds out that the main reason why he's in the cell is because of Min Ho, but bottles up his anger to comply with Jung Woo's master plan. Yeon Hee is tempted to spill the beans to the police but holds her composure in front of Min Ho's father.
Ha Yeon happened to be with Sung Gyoo in his apartment while investigators search Jung Woo's left crime scene. Jung Woo recalls that there seemed to be someone who was at his home during the night of his murder, and he thinks he is the missing piece of the puzzle to commit the perfect crime. Another death adds to Min Ho's record, as more people discover who he is. Ha Yeon seems to be safe for now, but not a single proof of her life emerges just yet.
Flashbacks of Jung Woo show how he makes his move trying to prove Min Ho's existence through gathering fingerprints. In prison, he also finds out about pictures of his wife Ji Soo with Min Ho, which is allegedly the reason why he killed his wife and daughter. The mystery of the murder continues, as Eun Hye and Joon Hyuk get on board Jung Woo's case. Could this other family murder be Min Ho's work, or is it Jung Woo's act of anger towards his cheating wife?
After enough evidence was found to incriminate Min Ho, he desperately stages a suicide that allows him to take his twin brother's identity. Prosecutor Jung Woo feels that the living Sun Ho is the criminal Min Ho. However, Min Ho's father Young Woon reveals that Min Ho is a burden to the Chamyung Group, which offends him. Upon Min Ho's realization that his cover's been blown, Jung Woo is now considered a threat to his case that needs to be exterminated.
Jung Woo is a prosecutor who lives an exciting life, fighting homicide crimes hands on. On his daughter's sixth birthday, he happens to deny a job offer that gets him locked up behind bars for reasons he can't seem to recall, after experiencing short term amnesia. He finds out from his fellow inmates that he killed his wife Ji Soo and daughter Ha Yeon. Dazed and confused, Jung Woo fights for his freedom.
As Jaesong Group aims to switch its main industry, President Kwon makes the announcement to disband the Dreams. In order to salvage the team, Seung Su urges him to give him a period of one week, in which he makes a bid to an IT company to persuade it to buy the team from Jaesong Group.
News spreads of trade between Du Ki and two second-string players, handled by President Kyeong Min. While the general manager is shocked by the decision, the management team rallies behind him to try to work even harder to offset the loss that the trade brought upon the team.
In order to bring Dong Gyu back to the Dreams, the general manager persuades the general manager of the Vikings with a deal that emphasizes the team's bright future. After a massive effort to form a strong team, the general manager is terrified to hear shocking news.
General Manager Seung Su agrees to resign from his post, and Se Young becomes interim general manager. The Dreams manages to bring good results at the 2019 KPB Rule 5 Draft, and a sudden interview held with Chang Ju surprises many people and leads to unexpected outcomes.
Despite initial roadblocks in salary negotiations, the Dreams and various players work out their differences and negotiate their contracts. Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding Chang Ju's interview on TV and Yeong Su's employment leads to Seung Su receiving some bad news.
After hearing that total funds for the Dreams will be cut by 30 percent in comparison to the previous year, Seung Su and the management team go into salary negotiations with a determined attitude. They change their way of calculating the salary of each player, to the dismay of some.
The Dreams has an open recruitment process to fill an opening in the strategy and performance analysis division. Despite Seung Su being unaware, his brother Yeong Su applies for the position, displaying a high level of understanding in statistics and receiving a divided response from the panel of interviewers.
Seung Su and his team leave for California to recruit Miles, but they get bewildered by the unexpectedly high cost. In the meantime, Kyung Min offers Seung Su a new amount of money for the down payment of foreign players, and their target changes into someone unsuspected.
Seung Su and Se Young call everyone to identify the irregularity of the scouting division. Meanwhile, an unexpected guest visits the office, and their meeting takes a new turn.
Seung Su finds something suspicious about a disagreement between Se Hyeok, the scouting division head, and a scouting division member, Won Seop, at the first-year player draft, regarding the team's selection of player Min Ho over Chang Kwon and, tries to seek answers.
Jaejun tries to stop Jaehwan's stay of execution by planting Doctor Choi Donghun in the West Seoul Prison. Meanwhile, Jeonghui gives Uisik the video of Jaejun trying to kidnap Bit.
Jaejun goes into the chairman's hospital room and tries to take the ventilator off of his father, but Ije stops him just in time. Uisik receives a video of Yeongcheol from Ije. He arrests Yeongcheol for the attempted murder of Congressman Jung. Ije figures out that Minseok has been hiding a chronic illness.
Ije goes to Uisik, dragging Hong Nampyo with him, and hands in an official complaint against Jaejun. Meanwhile, Jaejun tells Sogeum about his childhood.
Jaejun goes to the front of Ije's house to catch Bit, and Sogeum goes to stop him. Meanwhile, Ije gets a call saying that Congressman Jung collapsed.
Ije tells Minsik to hand over Haeun Hospital to him. Meanwhile, Sogeum gets a call from Bit and goes to meet him.
