After finding out that Professor Choi had purposely put him to sleep, Tae Soo goes to see Professor Choi unannounced. However, instead of asking for the truth, Tae Soo asks Professor Choi if he can return to Taesan University Hospital. Later, while Soo Yeon presents a patient's case to the directors, Professor Choi announces that Tae Soo will be the one to operate. Tae Soo returns to Taesan University Hospital under the consent received by Professor Choi and is scheduled to perform surgery on a very urgent patient the very next day. However, with Chief Koo picked as one of the doctors for the show Best Doctors, Tae Soo's surgery gets postponed. Meanwhile, Soo Yeon recollects the incident that killed her father and suspects it to be someone's doing.

However, his brother, Yoon Hyun Mook, the chief executive, hears about Hyun Il diverting funds from the Africa project and plans to have Hyun Il resign. Meanwhile, Soo Yeon sides with Tae Soo and tries to find a way to save his position at the hospital."
