Post-Punk

Post-Punk

Post-punk emerged from the Punk scene. It had the same kind of DIY ethos, a very kind of hands on approach, but was more experimental, more intellectual, and more artistic in its approach to music. It wasn't about being a rock star it was almost the opposite – anti-fashion, anti-ego, in a sense, and these very introspective songs, which tended to dwell on the kind of more maudlin aspects of daily life, and what we all experience.
