Though purchased dearly with Iggy's injury, Jotaro and his group finally have the location of DIO's palace. Waiting for them there they find the butler, Darby Younger, brother of the gambler they previously defeated.

Iggy ends up in a battle to the death in the sewers against Pet Shop, the falcon that guards DIO's mansion. Despite being injured, Iggy runs to the river in an attempt to escape, but he may have underestimated Pet Shop's abilities.

Jotaro and his friends finally land in Egypt, where DIO awaits, and are cutting through the desert when a helicopter approaches. The helicopter belongs to the Speedwagon Foundation and is there to make a special delivery requested by Joseph.

The team attempts to escape the submarine with scuba gear as it sinks under attacks from the shape-changing enemy Stand \"High Priestess.\"

Jotaro and the team visit an island in the Red Sea and find Avdol's father, renewing the grief Polnareff felt over his friend's death. But perhaps there is a way he can right that wrong. Or not.

Kakyoin tries to convince the others that the baby is a Stand user, but they merely start to doubt his sanity. Unable to persuade his friends, Kakyoin resorts to some extreme measures.

Kakyoin dreams about being in a strange amusement park, where he encounters the Death tarot card. While in the dream he witnesses Death cut down a dog, but after waking up in terror he can't remember what the nightmare was about.

After surviving another attack, Jotaro and his team make it to Pakistan, where they stop at an inn to rest. The village around the inn, however, is quiet, and its inhabiitants rather odd.

Jotaro and his group head toward Pakistan by car. Polnareff is behind the wheel on a dangerous mountain road when a mysterious vehicle starts impeding their progress.

Jotaro and the others next head toward Varanasi. On their way there, Joseph realizes his arm is quite swollen. At first it doesn't bother him much, but the bigger it gets, the creepier it looks.

When Avdol is struck down defending Polnareff, the Frenchman goes into a state of shock, leaving him vulnerable. That is when \"Hanged Man,\" Centerfold's Stand, begins its most furious attack.
