Yusei Fudo has been caught by the Sector Security and sent to the Facility. In the paddy wagon, he meets a man called Tenzen Yanagi whom he befriends. The former Pro Duelist, Bolt Tanner, meets Yusei there. Tanner challenges Yusei, who is unable to Duel since he doesn't have a Deck. As a result, Yanagi Duels in his place.
