With Grayson rapidly improving after the accident, Parker asks Jane to help Kim with a malpractice lawsuit on behalf of Martha Miller, whose aspiring model daughter, Sara, died during breast implant surgery. As Kim quickly realizes that she needs Jane's help, Teri enlists Parker to defend her boyfriend, firefighter Gary Rice, when he's sued by a woman who was injured when he saved her from a burning building. But when the woman's lawyer notes that Gary lied about being a fireman, Teri feels betrayed. Meanwhile, as Stacy wonders when Fred will want to have sex, Grayson asks Jane to help with the wedding plans. Though Kim's case and the wedding are keeping her busy, Jane still finds time for a date with Grayson's doctor, Bill Kendal. As Jane advises Fred about his sex life with Stacy, and then reluctantly launches into planning the wedding that should have been hers, Gary says that when Teri mistook him for a firefighter, he didn't have the heart to say otherwise. Accepting his apology, Teri presses Parker to continue defending him. Meanwhile, though Kim and Jane prove that the SurgiCenter failed to stock a drug that could have saved Sara's life, Martha drops the lawsuit when attorney Amos Hanson reveals that an anti-depressant her daughter was taking could have killed her. While struggling to woo Stacy, Fred calls Jane during her dinner with Bill. After overhearing her advice, Bill is impressed and ends up back at her apartment for the night. Later, Jane learns that Sara was a client at an agency owned by Steven Bay, who routinely referred his models to the SurgiCenter, which he also owns. Once a dozen clients who agreed to have operations appear in court, the judge refers the case to the D.A. and tells Hanson to settle with Martha. Finally, as Fred and Stacy's sex life takes off, news that Gary started fires in order to rescue the victims leads Teri to turn him in to the police.
