Three-quarters of Egypt 80's current line-up is composed of musicians who didn't only play with Fela Kuti, but often were arrested and harassed alongside the founder of the Afrobeat.

Hubbard is an American jazz trumpeter whose unmistakable and influential tone contributed to new perspectives for modern jazz and bebop. He was also a well-known part of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and is primarily known for playing bebop, hard bop, and post-bop styles from the early '60s onwards.

With this album, Bootsy Collins pays tribute to the artists with whom he worked during his frantic career: from James Brown and Parliament-Funkadelic to Fatboy Slim. During this concert, recorded at the festival Jazz à Vienne, Bootsy maintains that same energy, giving a spectacular show.
