Abhijit Bhattacharya, the elder son of an orthodox Brahmin family is married to Bandana, highly qualified good looking women. After seven years of their marriage Abhijit died in a car accident. Her son Abhirup cannot tolerate her mother in the dress of a widow. And that reason he got affected by o mental disease. According to the doctor's advices she acts as married women by wearing colored sari in front of his son. For this she faces a lot of disgrace. Her father -in -law took her last wealth. Hearing the death news of Abhijit her uncle paresh babu come to Bandana and took her to his own house .Bandana manages a job by the help of her husband's friends Bimalendu Ghoshal. Abhirup learns painting from an artist named sudipto sarkar. One day she meets him. Gradually through different incidents they come close contact each other. On the other hand Abhirup loves Titly, the daughter of professor of his own collage. Titly and her mother pours scandalous words about Bandana to Abhirup. Kali, who is her sister -in-law says to Bandana to marry sudipto sarkar and Bandana, becomes confused. But Abhirup cannot accept this relationship. After few days Abhirup and Titly get married. After that Bandana comes to ''Sishukalyan Mandir'' to live among the orphans giving her wealth. Later Abhirup, Titly and her mother realized their mistake and come to her for pardon but she refuses to meet then and remains beyond the curtain.

Sanjay and Deepa are in love. Sanjay is working in an office. Deepa, after post graduation, is working on a thesis for doctorate, Sanjay always presents a bouquet of flowers (rajani gandha) to Deepa. Deepa is likely to get a job of teaching at Dhaka. She requests Sanjay to accompany her to Dhaka. Sanjay Doesn's agree as he is expecting a promotion. Deepa reaches Dhaka. To her surprise she finds Navin her ex-boy friend receiving her at Dhaka station. On the journey from Dhaka station to Ira's house, Deepa remembers the time when she broke up with Navin.... Deepa ignores the strike called by Navin. Navin warns her that if she attends the classes inspite of his call for a strike it is the end of their relationship. In Dhaka Navin was all attention to her, Unlike Sanjay who was always forgetful and engrossed in his own promotion Navin was meticulous- kept his time and was all attention to Deepa. In Dhaka Deepa forgot the past and fell in love with Navin all over again... Day of Deepa's departure from Dhaka arrives, Navin has already informed Deepa that she is sure to get the job. In kolkata Deepa finds a bunch of flowers from Sanjay in her room. She pines for letter or telephone from Navin but in vain. She hears a voice- Deepa! Deepa turns - Sanjay stands of the door smilling holding a bunch of flowers. She rushes and embraces Sanjay..... Sanjay gets delighted - so you failed to get the job at Dhaka? Don's worry ... I have got promotion, now we can get married!

ëMaa o Meyeí is the story of a poor mother and her daughter Gyanada. Atul loves Gyanada. Atul promises Gyanadaís father on his death bed that heíll take her responsibility. Villagers start gossiping about Gyanada and Atul. Gyanadaís aunt who is also related to Atul is against this match. She plans and sends Gyanada and her mother to her maternal uncleís house. She sends Atul to meet her brother-in-lawís daughter Madhuri in Kolkata. Atul develops liking for Madhuri and starts ignoring Gyanada. He refuses to accept Gyanada. This disheartens Gyanadaís mother and she falls sick. Atulís mother reminds him how Gyanada had nursed him back to health when he was sick. Atul starts feeling guilty. But Gyanada never asks Atul to accept her. She bears the insults silently. Gyanadaís mother passes away. Atul realizes his mistake and marries Gyanada.
