Dong Joo now asks why Dr. Kim pushed back his father's operation many years ago. Dr. Kim is left dazed and uncertain while they stand before the rest of the staff. The nosy journalist now starts interviewing more people outside the hospital to dig deeper for his juicy case on Doldam. With emotions about his past lingering around the hospital, Dong Joo continues on the cardiac operation that hits very close to his heart.
Seong Jae calls Dr. Kim unexpectedly. He brings an opportunity to Dr. Kim's table, but there happens to be a catch. President Do brings in the news that the hospital is set to be closed. The future of Doldam is close to becoming a mere thought or dream after its doors are sure to be closed by the wrath of Yoon Wan. Dr. Kim this time around, is unable to interfere with the decision.
As Dr. Kim starts Chairman Shin's operation, the audience outside the operating room watches out for any mistake Dr. Kim makes. A damaged aorta and a severe perforation patient splits In Bum and Dong Joo, making the operation which already was impossible even worse to handle. Gi Tae accidentally lets a nosy reporter into some confidential material.
Yoon Wan is ready to get rid of Dr. Kim and has a new and much younger chairman in mind to head the foundation. Dr. Kim and Chairman Shin, on the other hand, talk about the operation and how to go about it. It seems like a mission impossible, but Dr. Kim's out to pull some strings to make his plan work.
Dr. Kim wonders why Chairman Shin has so much confidence in him amidst all the controversy he's faced in his life. Chairman Shin returns the question to him, wondering if all these amazing doctors in the association would try to save his life with billions of dollars on the line. A fight breaks out just outside the operating room, with In Bum and Dong Joo leaving each other's faces bruised.
Dong Joo succumbs to the fatigue, and he ends up contracting the MERS virus. Although Dr. Kim wants to take over, Seo Jung stops him from risking his life for it. She enters and handles the deadly contagious patient. Now that she puts herself on the line, she also crosses herself out of the list of people allowed to operate on Chairman Shin the task she's worked hard on for the past weeks.
A hostage-taking crisis happens in the operating room. The victim at the edge of the knife is Seo Jung, with the sole request is to stop the surgery that currently takes place. The medical team informs the police, but the armed suspect is ready to kill Seo Jung at any minute. With two people's lives on the line, Dr. Kim needs to think fast.
Details There's a standoff at the lobby of the Doldam Hospital. This time, it's In Bum and Hyeon Cheol versus Dr. Kim and the rest of the staff. The dispute isn't over after all the talks that had happened, and the future of Doldam seems to be entering murky waters of this devilish foggy forest of no hope. The micromanagement of President Do is getting in the way of Dr. Kim. For now, Seo Jung handles an 8 in a hundred chance of survival surgery.
Seo Jung meets In Bum after years of not seeing each other. Dong Joo is worried about him and is quite displeased to have him at the hospital. That's after In Bum steps past his borders. Seo Jung recalls her past as a student who lost her mother and her memories spent with the president's family. Dr. Kim now talks about matters related to the foundation and the future of their hospital.
Bu Yong Ju is back. This worries the chairman and prompts for an emergency meeting at the Geosan University Medical Center. Dong Joo says that Gi Tae can shred his resignation letter if Dr. Kim turns out to be Dr. Bu Yong Ju, and he plans to continue working at Doldam Hospital. First, they've got to attend to a set of cyclists that get hit by a truck with a driver that had fallen asleep.
Dr. Kim shows up at the hospital with a bruised face, but he's out to save a burn victim first. The general manager of the casino comes to the hospital to take care of all the charges, but they're faced with a charge for putting a bruise on Dr. Kim's face. Meanwhile, Dong Joo and Seo Jung clear things out between themselves as Dong Joo wants to leave the hospital for good.
Dong Joo is transferred to Dr. Kim's hospital, and he starts questioning every single move made by the veteran surgeon. On the other hand, Seo Jung finds him quite annoying since he doesn't get the idea that Dr. Kim is trying to get across. Doldam Hospital faces many cases, and now it's up to Seo Jung and Dong Joo to figure out how to finish up each operation without displeasing Dr. Kim.
"Will you answer me?" Without having a chance to clear up Yeongsin's misunderstanding, Jeonghu continues investigating what happened to his father. Boss' special team is on Jeonghu's tail to cover up the truth he uncovers. Yeongsin visits Myeonghui to find her truth as well, and ends up seeing Jeonghu there. Those under Munho come together and their operation begins...
"Back to you" Once Jeonghu begins to investigate his father's case, the team ordered by the Elder begins to take action. Munsik plants seeds of suspicion into Yeongsin, and Munho decides to tell her the truth before Munsik could do it. Yeongsin is in shock when she hears the secret Munho and Jeonghu had been keeping from her. Jeonghu chases the truth about his father in order to go back to Yeongsin, but...
"We remember you" Jeonghu wants to be himself when he is with Yeongsin. When Jeonghu comes to him, Munho proposes the fathers' method to Jeonghu and Munho, Jeonghu and Yeongsin's counterattack begins. However, after receiving Munho's declaration of war, Munsik covertly approaches Yeongsin...
"It's okay to cry" After confirming Yeongjae's death, Jeonghu loses it and runs away. Munho does all he could to stop Jeonghu, and promises to make them pay, but Jeonghu doesn't trust him. After hearing his master's final words, Jeonghu hides from the world, and Yeongsin is desperate to find him. Then, a mysterious person comes to her...
"I'm waiting" Yeongsin begins to suspect Bongsu's true identity and finds the proof she's looking for. The one thing that put a stop to Jeonghu's rage was Yeongsin's name. Munho tells Jeonghu whom they are up against, and Jeonghu decides to follow for the time being, although he is dissatisfied with Munho's methods. However, Munsik begins to cross the line in order to protect his castle.
"I don't know how to run away" Jeonghu decides to be aggressive to uncover the truth, and discovers a shocking truth. He explodes at Munho and tells him to stay out of their lives. When Jeonghu shows up in the middle of the night, Yeongsin provides food and lodging, and feels confused about him. Munsik suspects Jeonghu's identity and sets a trap Jeonghu cannot avoid, in order to confirm whether or not he is indeed the Healer.
"Us under the sunset" Munho begins his one-on-one training of Yeongsin to turn her into a real reporter, and Jeonghu finds Munho to be an eyesore. Munsik is suspicious of Yeongsin and conducts a background search on her, and Jeonghu, who is busy with his dual life, receives a new job request: to protect Yeongsin. Then, Yeongsin receives a text message... from sender: "Healer."
"It begins" Thanks to Jeonghu's quick thinking, Yeongsin escapes from President Hwang's house and is questioned by Detective Yoon. Meanwhile, Jeonghu succeeds in luring Sangsu out. After Munsik uses the media to frame Joo Yeonhui for being a seductress, Yeongsin is overwhelmed and calls Munho. That night, Jeonghu hears a shocking confession from Yeongsin. And then... he came.
