Ujae wants a confession out of Seoyeong and she tells him that her mom passed away. He doesn't believe her and he's enraged. Ujae finds out that Seoyeong works part-time for social experiments and learns to forgive her. He keeps delaying his flight to New York. For what purpose?

Moo Gak, Lt. Yeom and the other detectives are shocked to see the video of Jae Hee kidnapping Cho Rim. Meanwhile, Cho Rim leaves a clue when she drops her ring on the floor as Jae Hee looks away.
Jae Hee tries to escape with the autobiographies, but gets arrested by Moo Gak instead. Meanwhile, Cho Rim is starting to recall memories of her parents and her accident.
Moo Gak tries to find Lt. Yeom at Jae Hee's house but does not find the secret room. Jae Hee tells Lt. Yeom will give you an autobiography. Cho Rim feels guilty Lt. Yeom was taken in every stead.
Cho Rim sees the same scent on Jae Hee she's seen before on Dr. Chun's body. She tells Moo Gak she wants the other detectives to know of her ability. Now knowing this, the special investigation unit sets up a plan to secure evidence from Jae Hee's house.
Cho Rim feels sorry to Moo Gak because his sister died instead of her. Moo Gak says that's not a reason to break up, but Cho Rim refuses to relent. Meanwhile, Jae Hee tries, but can't seem to place the face of the photo he stole from Cho Rim's house.
Inspector Kang and the other detectives ask Lt. Yeom why Moo Gak is suddenly kicked off the investigation. She says it's because he is a family member of the barcode-chain-murder victim. Meanwhile, Cho Rim is in shock after reading Dr. Chun's letter.
Lt. Yeom deliberately makes a sketch different from what Cho Rim remembers. She also discovers that Oh Jae Pyo is Cho Rim's father when running an identity check. Meanwhile, Cho Rim tells Moo Gak she senses fear when recalling her accident.
Just after arriving to the restaurant, Moo Gak and the other detectives witness a man falling from the rooftop. Moo Gak discovers Jae Hee looking down from there. Jae Hee, who has no time to make excuses, is arrested for being caught red-handed.
When Moo Gak asks the troupe leader to take Cho Rim back, he's ordered to make him laugh. Meanwhile, a body with an engraved barcode is found at the park, breaking the chain-murder pattern and creates chaos within the special investigation team.
Cho Rim tells Moo Gak that Joo Ma Ri's scent is headed to the river. Her car and corpse are found there. Noting the barcode on Ma Ri's arm, Lt. Yeom is convinced it's a barcode chain murder and orders Moo Gak to join the special investigation team.
Moo Gak asks to be a detective to the chief of homicide, who gives him a case file. Chief says only if he finds the culprit in ten days. Meanwhile, Cho Rim suggests that Moo Gak be her sketch comedy partner in lieu of giving her the car repair fee.
High school student Cho Rim becomes a witness to her parents' murder scene, runs for her life from the suspect and gets hit by a car. Moo Gak then gets a call that Eun Seol was hurt. He rushes to the hospital and thinks she's dead from the neck wound..
Do Hyun hesitates to face the truth that Jun Pyo may have been behind Ri Jin's mother's death. Mr. X advises Do Hyun to confront his past for the sake of his future. Meanwhile, one by one, Do Hyun's personalities appear to say goodbye, and Ri Jin finally faces her childhood self.
Gi Joon and Chae Yeon are shocked to learn that Do Hyun has dissociative identity disorder, while Ri On feels uneasy about Ri Jin returning to Do Hyun's side. Meanwhile, Perry Park bids Ri Jin farewell, and traces of a new personality, “Mr. X,” begin to emerge.
Do Hyun regains his laughter while spending time with Ri Jin's family. Soon Young encourages him to pursue Ri Jin and shows him photos of Ri Jin and Ri On as children. Meanwhile, Do Hyun's repressed memories of the basement resurface, and he meets the personality “Nana.” Chae Yeon calls off her engagement with Gi Joon.
Ri Jin begins having nightmares, worrying Do Hyun. However, she keeps her distance, prompting Do Hyun to reconsider her relationship with Ri On. Meanwhile, Young Pyo becomes convinced that Min Seo Yeon's child is still alive, and Ri On has his first encounter with Yo Na, one of Do Hyun's personalities.
Do Hyun despairs after realizing the things Se Gi has done. Chae Yeon grows even more conflicted over Do Hyun's sudden change in attitude. Ri Jin, like Se Gi once did, struggles to help Do Hyun change for the better, while Tae Im meets Seok Ho Pil.
Tae Im faints in shock after seeing Se Gi on the hospital CCTV in Cha Jun Pyo's room. Ri Jin decides to leave home, and Ri On reluctantly lets her go. Meanwhile, Se Gi demands that Ri Jin choose between him and Do Hyun, but Ri Jin retorts, “Then show me what makes you special.”
Se Gi declares all-out war against Do Hyun, and Ri Jin is taken aback by his icy demeanor. Chae Yeon is startled when Se Gi suddenly appears before her. When Se Gi arrives at the company, all eyes turn to him, and he even confronts Gi Joon directly. Meanwhile, Hwa Ran meets Ri Jin and tells her to report everything Do Hyun does.
Ri Jin encounters all of Do Hyun's personalities in one night — except for Shin Se Gi. Gi Joon and Chae Yeon are stunned when Ri Jin shows up at the company as Do Hyun's secretary, while Ri On meets Do Hyun under his secret identity as Writer Omega.
