Flying Over Iceland II

Flying Over Iceland II

Experience the wonders of summertime in Iceland from an elevated perspective with "Flying Over Iceland II: Summer in the Golden Circle". Filmed during quarantine in September of 2020, ambient film features an immersive slow-moving aerial perspective of some of Islandia's most iconic and famous south coast loop locations - all in glorious sunlight. Beginning at the stunning 200 foot high Skogafoss waterfall, viewers next are gently flown to the charming coastal city of Vik, which overlooks the famous Vikurfjara Black Sand Beach. Here ancient lava flows have sculpted some impressive coastal outcroppings which viewers will witness from a bird's eye view, before soaring to great heights in order to witness the distant glaciers and unique geography of South Iceland as never seen before. From the black sand beach we then soar west to the charming Dyrholaey Lighthouse, which also sits atop some absolutely stunning coastal rock formations including a giant arch at sea level. After returning to Vik the film next progresses to the glacier Vatnajökull, offering majestic views of Iceland's largest glacier. From soaring above the misty clouds to dipping down into the ice formations, the film ends with multiple unique perspectives of the glacial area including young pine forests, a visit from some local sheep, and a journey above and below the clouds for one final refreshing cap to the 1 hour film.
