Friday is the busiest day as a lot of patients swarm in Doldam Hospital. Eun Jae still finds it hard to perform surgical operations herself. A girl patient who suffers from drug poisoning because of her father's joint family suicidal attempt reminds Woo Jin of a painful memory from his childhood. And the staff of Doldam Hospital resents after hearing a rumor that there will be a new director.
Min Kook asks Woo Jin questions about the primary surgery that Dr. Kim operated on, and Woo Jin hesitates to answer them. The director of Doldam Hospital comes back to the hospital, and Ah Reum greets him. Eun Jae gets furious at Woo Jin for taking away her opportunity to be in the second operation with Min Kook. And Doldam Hospital is on the verge of being sued for malpractice.
Dr. Kim chooses the extreme method to save Minister Ryu. After Dr. Kim manages to bring Minister Ryu back to life, Min Kook starts doubting Dr. Kim's real intention and skills. After Min Kook announces the Minister's condition to the press, Dr. Kim just doesn't seem to care. Eun Jae asks Woo Jin to attend the second surgery, but he refuses.
Dr. Kim gets disappointed at Woo Jin and tells him to go back. But Woo Jin asks Dr. Kim for one more chance, and Dr. Kim gives Woo Jin a week of grace period to prove himself. Meanwhile, an important figure comes into the emergency room of Doldam Hospital. Do Yoon Wan, the chairman of the Geosan University Foundation, figures out the news and begins to work out his scheme.
As Doldam Hospital suffers from a lack of doctors, Kim Sa Bu visits the main hospital to ask to send young doctors to him and runs into CS fellow Cha Eun Jae and GS fellow Seo Woo Jin. Seo Woo Jin is ostracized by other doctors because he had done whistleblowing on other doctors' corruption and malpractice. On the other hand, Cha Eun Jae always takes a tranquilizer before operations due to her operation fright.
Dong-joo receives a letter from the United States but tries to hide its contents from Seo-jung. Seo-jung becomes concerned about Dong-joo, who seems troubled after reading the letter. Meanwhile, Kim Sabu's first love pays a visit to Doldam Hospital...
