Marc Hofmeister

His passion for film took root among the shelves of the video store 'Die Cassette' in Hildesheim, where he worked for several years before starting his formal education. Following practical experience at Nestlé and 'Das Werk' in Munich, he studied Film Editing at the Film University Babelsberg 'Konrad Wolf'. Since his debut with 'Preußisch Gangstar' (Berlinale 2008), he has edited a wide range of projects - from independent films like 'Must Love Death' to the award-winning short 'Nullpunkt', for which he received the Best Editing award at the European Film Festival in Paris. In recent years, his focus has shifted toward high-end series and major features. As an editor or head editor, he has supervised projects such as 'Dogs of Berlin' (Netflix), 'Sløborn' (ZDF), 'Ze Network' (RTL+), and the first and second season of 'Oderbruch' (ARD). His credits also include theatrical releases like 'Abgeschnitten' (Warner) and 'Tschiller: Off Duty' (Warner) with Til Schweiger. When he’s not in the editing suite refining the perfect dramaturgy, he enjoys hiking or returning to his hometown of Hildesheim. He finds balance by collecting physical media, listening to vintage radio plays, and revisiting retro classics on the Amiga 500 and GameBoy.
