
Mahiara Sáenz Piña
Mahiara Meret Sáenz Piña is a Chilean writer, screenwriter, and filmmaker. Her work explores the relationship between body, territory, and memory through a sensory, political, and spiritual lens. She blends horror, magical realism, and experimental cinema as forms of resistance. She is the writer and director of Hagiophobia (2026) and is currently developing the documentary Ándate a la punta del cerro (2026) and her debut feature The Tongue of the Saltlands.
