Sophia DeLeo

Sophie DeLeo is a New York City–based folk singer and songwriter known for her ethereal vocals and emotionally honest storytelling. Her music explores themes of womanhood, love, and healing past trauma. A lifelong performer, Sophie began in theatre at age seven and later taught herself guitar and banjo, which feature prominently on her critically acclaimed EP Drama Queen. She has toured the East Coast, played festivals including Meadowlark Music Festival, and was a semi-finalist in the 2025 Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Folk Songwriting Competition. Sophie also composes for the new musical To Cry Witch and works as a preschool teacher.
