Lennard Johnny Kuhl

Lennard Johnny Kuhl was born on May 19, 2003 in Hilden, Germany. He spent much of his childhood and teenage years in Shanghai, where growing up between different cultures shaped the way he looks at images, music, and storytelling. At an early age, he developed a strong interest in music and hip hop culture, which first found expression through music videos. Since then, the connection between image, rhythm, and atmosphere has remained a constant in his work. His practice is strongly hands on, shaped by self learning, direct experimentation, and a continuous effort to push beyond his own comfort zone.
