From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Kostas Kazakos (Pyrgos, Ilia, 29 May 1935 – 13 September 2022) was a Greek actor and director. He was elected Member of Parliament with the KKE (Communist Party of Greece) in 2007 and 2009. He was a graduate of the Lykourgos Stavrakos Film School (specifically the Actors and Directors department) as well as the Karolos Koun Drama School of Theatre Arts. In 1973 he was awarded the First Gold Award of the Thessaloniki Film Festival for the most complete production, of the adaptation of Lysistrata. He was vice-president of the Greek Center of the International Theatre Institute. He was a founding member of the Hellenic-Arab Association and a member of the Actor's Licensing Committee, co-founder of the Free Theatre (together with Leon Trivizas) and founder of the "Jenny Karezi" Foundation.
