Simon John Charles Le Bon is a British singer, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the new wave band Duran Duran and its offshoot Arcadia. Simon Le Bon was a member of the local church choir from a young age, and was trained as an actor. However, in 1980, he auditioned to join the pop group Duran Duran. Before long, Duran Duran became one of the biggest music acts of the decade worldwide selling millions of records. Hits such as “Rio”, “Girls on Film”, “The Reflex”, “Hungry like the Wolf”, “The Wild Boys” and more made in into the UK charts. In 1985 Duran Duran were chosen to produce the theme song for the James Bond film “A View to a Kill” which got them back into the charts. Unfortunately by the late 1980s, Duran Duran’s popularity began to wane, but that didn’t stop them, they continued to make music and still do to this day.
