Darrin Navarro
Darrin Navarro, ACE, began his film career in the late 1980s, working as an assistant editor on low-budget exploitation films for independent producers such as Roger Corman and Fred Olen Ray before finding work at the major studios on pictures like Sam Raimi’s Darkman (1990) and Peter Bogdanovich’s The Thing Called Love (1993). In 1995, he assisted on William Friedkin’s Jade, which began a nearly three-decade relationship with the Oscar-winning filmmaker, eventually editing Friedkin’s late-career masterworks, Bug (2005), Killer Joe (2011), and The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial (2023). Navarro has also collaborated extensively with the director, Azazel Jacobs, including on Terri (2010), and The Lovers (2017); and with James Ponsoldt on The Spectacular Now (2012) and The End of the Tour (2015). His credits for television include episodes of I Love Dick, Ballers, Mozart in the Jungle, Outer Banks, Euphoria, and Cape Fear.
