
Kemal Ahmed
Kamal Ahmed (20 April 1937 – 22 July 1997) was a prominent Pakistani film music director. Active from 1967 to 1997, he composed music for over 100 Urdu and Punjabi films—the second-highest number of film scores for Urdu movies after M. Ashraf. He gained his major breakthrough with the hit film Rangeela (1970) and went on to score numerous classic films such as Dil Aur Duniya (1971), Wada (1976), and Salakhain (1977). Throughout his career, Ahmed won six Nigar Awards for Best Musician before passing away in Lahore in July 1997.
