爱情
1950年代德州，無望的青年死守一座垂垂老矣的小鎮。陽光男孩杜安與鎮上最富有的女孩潔西打得火熱，一場聖誕夜的裸體泳池派對開拓了潔西的處女地，而桑尼則沉醉在與球隊教練老婆的不倫戀。滾滾黃沙吞噬凋零的靈魂，乾枯的塵土卻掩蓋不住勃發的青春慾動，隨著潔西勾上桑尼，三人的友情分崩離析。韓戰開打，將上戰場的杜安，終於和桑尼和解，兩人在即將關門大吉的戲院，看了最後一場電影。
