片中主角是隻大耳象-呆寶，跟媽媽一同生活在搭乘火車巡迴表演的馬戲團裡，因為與生俱來的大耳朵成為眾人譏笑嘲弄的對象，媽媽為了保護呆寶跟其他的大象起了衝突，最後居然還因為攻擊觀眾而被關進牢籠裡。少了媽媽的保護，呆寶被旁人欺負的更慘，馬戲團小丑們居然要他從高處跳下，只為了製造笑果！還好有好友老鼠鼓勵，呆寶終於建立自信心和榮譽感，還發現了自己耳朵會飛的潛能，最後不但成為遨翔天空的超級巨星，還從此讓媽媽過著幸福快樂的日子。片中主角呆寶不因為自己的外貌自卑、反而找出自己優點的寓意，使本片充滿教育意味，適合全家一起觀賞！
