威爾是家中的長子，他爸媽不許他與同學出去玩，也不能看電視或聽音樂，只能靠著畫圖與腦袋裡的想像世界消磨時間。直到他遇上了同學卡特，卡特將史特龍主演的電影《第一滴血》放給威爾看，威爾就這樣愛上史特龍，並對他的英雄形象仰慕不已，因此立刻計劃一部以V8拍攝的家庭電影，此片一出馬上受到熱烈歡迎，兩人成為學校名人，也成了無所不談的好友，但隨著一名法國留學生的出現，兩人的友誼也面臨考驗...。
