橘子豐收卻乏人採收，讓伊沃大傷腦筋… 1992年橘子收成時，剛獨立不久的阿布哈茲（Abkhazia），卻遭受到鄰國喬治亞的攻擊。為恐遭受波及，村莊大都人去樓空，唯獨老爺爺伊沃還為了雇不到工人採收橘子而傷透了腦筋…。 有天，兩軍竟就在他家門口交火，伊沃搶救了2名受傷的士兵，其中一個是俄羅斯車臣的僱傭兵，但另個卻是喬治亞的士兵。勢不兩立的兩人，即使身負重傷，都一心想著要如何幹掉對方…。 唯恐再發生事端，伊沃拯救兩人性命的唯一條件，就是要他們在這個屋簷下和平相處，並幫他採收正值豐收的橘子…。
