战争
二战期间，法国的德军的一座战俘营里。傲慢的德军为了打击同盟国的士气，竟不可思议地与被关押的同盟军战俘定了一场足球赛。但兵精马壮的德国国家队与赢弱不堪的战俘队孰胜孰败，似乎一目了然。不过，战俘中也不乏有足球好手，但大多数战俘无意真正比赛，一心只想趁机掘地道逃走。但在正式比赛时，在五万法国观众的鼓舞下，他们的正义感被唤醒，众人毅然改变逃亡计划，决定全力以赴，在球场上大败德军。比赛结束后，众人借事先挖好的地道，成功脱逃。
