Nội dung phim xoay quanh anh chàng siêu điệp viên Lance Sterling, thông minh và tài năng, sở hữu tư duy nhạy bén và sẵn sàng cho các nhiệm vụ khó nhất. Cùng với các trợ lý và siêu máy móc của mình, Lance tự tin có thể giải cứu cả thế giới bằng cách riêng của mình. Tuy nhiên, để không bị phát hiện thì trợ lý Walter Beckett quyết định thí nghiệm biến Lance thành chim bồ câu để dễ dàng hành động. Trớ trêu thay là Lance không thể biến lại hình dạng cũ và bất đắc dĩ trở thành “điệp viên bồ câu”. Siêu điệp viên sẽ ra sao khi không thể làm những điều mình muốn, dùng những thứ cần…
