เมืองเล็กๆ แห่งหนึ่งต้องตกอยู่ภายใต้การโจมตีของพวกซอมบี้ แล้วชาวเมืองจะหันไปพึ่งใครได้ มีเพียง นอร์แมน เด็กในเมืองที่ถูกเข้าใจผิด เขาสามารถพูดกับคนตายรู้เรื่อง นอกจากพวกซอมบี้แล้ว เขายังต้องรับมือกับผี แม่มด และที่แย่ที่สุด ก็คือพวกผู้ใหญ่ปัญญาอ่อน ทั้งนี้ก็เพื่อช่วยเมืองบ้านเกิดของเขาให้พ้นจากคำสาปที่มีมานานหลายศตวรรษ แต่เด็กชายที่คุยกับผีรู้เรื่องคนนี้อาจพบว่าการกระทำเหนือธรรมชาติของเขาต้องถูกผลักดันไปจนถึงขีดจำกัด
