안경을 끼고, 키도 작고 외양으로는 별볼일 없는 브레드는 공부는 잘하는 학생이다. 그런 그가 좋아하는 여자는 못오를 나무인 브룩. 그녀는 글래머에다가 성격도 좋고 금발이다. 그런 그녀에게 고백할 용기도 없는 브래드는 그녀를 쳐다볼 수 있다는 데에 만족한다. 그런데, 어느날 기적이 일어난다. 브룩이 그에게 접근해온 것. 하지만, 브룩은 미식축구부인 남자친구의 질투를 불러일으키기 위한 수단으로 브래드를 택한것. 하지만, 브래드는 이런 사실을 모른채 천국같은 기분을 느낀다. 만약의 사태에 대비해서 콘돔을 사려는 브래드, 그런데, 오늘따라 되는일이 없는지 자꾸만 꼬인다. 강도를 당하고, 엉뚱한 춤대회에, 호러영화에나 나올법한 청소부 아저씨까지.... 여하튼 브래드는 브룩과의 사랑에 성공할 것인가?
