“달리고 싶어요” 몸은 굳었지만 언제나 ‘도전’을 꿈꾸는 소년 줄리안. 또래 아이들처럼 달리고 싶었던 그는 아버지 폴에게 철인 3종 경기에 출전할 것을 제안한다. 하지만 가족을 포함한 모든 이들은 그의 무모한 도전을 허락하지 않고, 철인 3종 경기 위원회마저 장애인이라는 이유로 출전을 허가하지 않는다. 수영 3.8km, 자전거 180km, 마라톤42km… “우리에겐 정말 불가능일까요?” 꿈을 포기할 수 없었던 줄리안은 철인 경기 위원회에 직접 찾아가 일반인 철인 3종 경기에 출전할 수 있는 기회를 얻게 되고, 그의 강한 의지에 모든 이들의 마음이 움직이기 시작한다. 그리고… 세계 최강의 철인들 틈에서 줄리안과 폴의 아름다운 도전이 시작되는데…
