LA 록의 성지, ‘위스키 어 고고’ 클럽 무대를 시작으로 도어즈는 “Light My Fire”와 같은 메가 히트곡으로 명성을 얻으며 도전과 저항을 상징하는 1960년대 시대의 아이콘으로 떠오른다. 그러나 성공의 정점에서조차 예술적 초월을 갈망하던 짐은 점점 더 전위적인 퍼포먼스와 파괴적인 삶으로 치닫게 되고, 그의 연인이자 뮤즈인 ‘파멜라’와 도어즈의 멤버들은 짐의 고뇌와 폭주를 곁에서 지켜만 볼 수밖에 없는데… 알려진 것과 알려지지 않은 것, 그리고 그 사이의 ‘문’ 전설의 밴드 도어즈의 빛과 어둠이 다시 무대 위로 펼쳐진다!
