トーマスの支線が工事のために一時閉鎖され、トーマスは助っ人としてビルとベンの働くクレイ・ピッツに送られた。そんな時、トーマスはクレイ・ピッツで謎の巨大な足跡を発見するも、地すべりによってその足跡を見失ってしまう。翌日、トーマスはパーシーに昨日見た足跡の事を話す。それがソドー島に住むモンスターが残した物だと信じて疑わないパーシーは怯えながら走り出し、やがて奇妙なものに遭遇する。
