カンフー道場のドラ息子、ウォン・フェイフォンは練習は真面目にしない、町に出れば悪戯ばかりという放蕩ぶり。見兼ねた父親は、息子を改心させようと、カンフーの達人ソウ・ハッイーを呼び寄せた。厳しい修行で知られるソウ・ハッイーの元での修行を強いられたウォンは、酔えば酔うほど強くなる、という秘伝の拳法“酔八仙”を受け継ぐために苛酷な修行に励む。
