韓国で⽣まれ、3歳の時に養⼦としてアメリカに連れてこられたアントニオは、シングルマザーのキャシーと結婚し、娘のジェシーと３⼈で貧しいながらも幸せに暮らしていた。ある時、些細なことで警官とトラブルを起こし逮捕されたアントニオは、30年以上前の書類の不備で移⺠局へと連⾏され、強制送還されて⼆度と戻れない危機に瀕してしまう。キャシーは裁判を起こして異議を申し⽴てようとするが、最低でも費⽤が５千ドルかかることがわかり途⽅に暮れる。家族と決して離れたくないアントニオはある決⼼をするー。
