A la veille d'un grand coup financier, l'ouverture d'un parc à thème religieux, et alors qu'ils s'apprêtent à divorcer, Brad et Caroline, un couple de parvenus new-yorkais, sont rattrapés par le fisc et sont contraints de s’exiler pour échapper à la justice.
