Gwen Shamblin fonde un programme de «régime Chrétien», prêchant le pouvoir de la prière pour perdre du poids, accumulant pouvoir et argent en tant que personnage public reconnaissable à la chevelure extravagante. Son règne prend tragiquement fin en mai 2021 lorsque l'avion que pilote son mari s'écrase, tuant Gwen, Joe, leur gendre et quatre autres représentants de l’église.
