À l’instar de son père, Alice Kingsleigh a sillonné mers et océans durant des années avant de regagner l’Angleterre. De retour à Londres, poursuivant un papillon, elle passe à travers un miroir magique qui la ramène tout droit au Pays des Merveilles. Là-bas, elle retrouve ses amis le Lapin Blanc, Absolem, le Chat du Cheshire et le Chapelier Fou. Mais celui-ci n’est plus que l’ombre de lui-même : il a perdu sa fantaisie et sa folie. Face à cette situation, Mirana, la Reine Blanche confie à Alice une mission : emprunter la Chronosphère afin de remonter dans le passé. Ce n’est qu’au prix de cette quête périlleuse, de cette course contre le temps, qu’Alice pourra sauver le Chapelier avant qu’il ne soit trop tard…
